5 week old puppies throwing up HELP

Question:
ok I just switched the pups from royal canine puppy to royal canine baby dog mini for pups up to 8 weeks and they are throwing up and alittle diareha. It looks like pieces of cottage cheese. What is going on here? Its the same brand and puppy but smaller. I am washing the floor woth vinagear and water or could it be something mom ate or heat? I'm worried

Answer:
I don't think I would take any chances with pups so young. I would go to the vet. You say the vomit looks like cottage cheese, white? Could it be them throwing up worms?

Answer:
I'm not sure about worms. My mom was checked before she was breed and had prenatal care. My other dog was also checked and everyone is healthy. Could it be the heat?

Answer:
I worm my babies for the first time at 3 weeks. I would check with the vet. Good luck!

Answer:
I called the emergency vet earlier. I will call and ask about worming. Thanks they seem to be perking up. I put a small fan down by them. It doesn't blow alot of air or blow hard. My spelling was so bad in the other posts. I get so nervous with these babies. It seems that evey little thing sets me in a tizzy. I just want them to be happy and perfect so when they are alittle off I notice it right away. My family says I need to calm down but it is so hard. They are my kids right now.

Answer:
puppies are born with worms but if they are throwing up you need to call your vet and let us hear an update. Hope your little ones feel better.

I am going through this right with you! My pups are 3 1/2 weeks old and I am freaking about EVERYTHING! Whether they are getting enough water/milk/food... I am so nervous that SOMETHING can go wrong! Good Luck with everything, and feel free to message or email me. Maybe we can bounce ideas off each other.
Is this your first litter?

Answer:
How hot are you talking? Be careful with the fan as this can cause dehydration and since they are already vomiting ---
It could also be curdled milk if they're still nursing which I guess could be caused by excessive heat, but it could also be caused by bacteria in the mom's milk. Does the mom have any fever or hot, red, teats?
A mother can be "worm free" according to fecal exams, but late stage pregnancy causes dormant worms in the mom's intestine to "come alive" and then they are passed through the mother's milk so that is why most breeders worm Mom and pups several times starting as early as 3 weeks. I actually like to hold off a little longer because my pups are very small.
If they have enough worms to be throwing them up (which isn't that uncommon, they can multiply quickly) you should also see a bloated tummy and be hearing them cough slightly or clear their throat.
Keep us updated.

Answer:
also did you gradually introduce and wean them to the new food?
with any food change it needs to be done gradually with mixing it in with the old food over the course of a week.
Yorkies have very sensitive little tummies and this could be irritating them if you didn't,.

Answer:
I spoke to the regular vet and she said it is most likely from the change in diet. I thought since it was still royal cannine that it was ok but I guess not. We are putting them on rice cereal with chicken broth per our vet until their tummies calm down. I did change mom back to regular dog food verses puppy and she does nurse very little but that could be it also. I am going to get new mom food and see if that helps also. the vet said I am doing everything right. I did change the shots for 8 weeks but we are going at 6 weeks (this Tuesday) for worming to be on the safe side

Answer:
I looked at the ingredients of both too and they seemed almost identical that's why I didn't think it was the food change.
